Minecraft Environment/Blocks

Blocks are the only place able items in the game. If anything is places in the 3D environment then it will be a block of some sort. Blocks build the game environment and can in some cases be mined and utilized in various different ways. Blocks are cubes with each face being 16x16 pixels; each block adds up to 1 cubic meter in real-life. Most blocks are static although water, lava, portal and fire blocks which all have animated patterns for each face.
