Minecraft is a sandbox building independent video game written in Java by the now millionaire and famous creator Markus "Notch" Persson and due to this fame he now has his own company called Mojang.
The game is currently mainly creative building and exploration, this allows the players to make what they want and have no restriction to it except the height and depth of the map. The game is made up of millions of textured cubes in a 3D environment. Two version have been released by its creator, they are the Classic (Free) and the fully released version (Paid). The paid version is a mix of Creative and survival. The two modes can be chosen when starting a new world. Creative is where the player has an unlimited supply of resources and the ability to fly and infinite health, very useful if planning to build something quickly. Survival however requires the player to acquire resources by themselves or with others on the multiplayer servers and they must look out for Mobs (Creatures) due to having a limited health now.
